Our story.
A founder note from Andrew. Why a side chat for sports exists, and who it's for.
We love our boys. We came for the company, the snacks, maybe the butts on the field. Definitely not because we know what double pivot means. The hell is a “goalmouth scramble”? The midfield diamond, is it invisible or what?
And why's everyone screaming?
We built Hail Mary to close that gap. Watching sports with friends is fun, and it's better when you know what stuff means. Ballbot is the buddy who whispers what's actually going on, never makes you feel small for asking, and has takes you actually want to hear.
The brand name is a wink. A Hail Mary is the desperate last-ditch pass at the end of a football game — the throw you make when nothing else will work. It's also, in the older sense, a prayer. We liked the double meaning. The patron saint of the side chat felt right.
It's a small app. It's a big idea. I hope you join us.
